Romar’s series of monthly round-table discussions on current management and leadership development topics continues in August with a forum on Building Diversity and Inclusion Training into Manager Development. These forum discussions focus on how to develop leaders’ knowledge, skills, and behaviors in relation to topics that are important for success in today’s workplace. Topics are learning-and-development based but not exclusively limited to this focus. We will keep the conversations flexible based on your interests and needs. We'll host the round tables virtually and provide an associated article or video plus a few thought-provoking questions in advance to set the stage for the conversation.

When is it?

Our next round-table discussion will take place Monday, July 12 at 11:00 a.m. CT (12:00 p.m. ET and 10:00 a.m. PT). Dave Davis will moderate the 60-minute round table.

What is the topic?

The topic for August is Building Diversity and Inclusion Training into Manager Development. Current events have brought to the forefront the continuing struggles of building diverse work teams that are inclusive. As organizations work to embrace diversity and be more inclusive, training teams are often tasked with incorporating diversity and inclusion training into manager development. This round table will explore this challenge by examining two articles that explore the issues and ways to create training that accomplishes meaningful diversity and inclusion learning objectives.
