12:00pm CT (1:00pm ET and 10:00am PT)
Our ongoing monthly series of round tables on management and leadership development trends will continue in October with a special guest discussion leader. Michael Nagle, Director of Leadership Excellence and Coaching Capabilities at EMD Serono, will facilitate a conversation on developing mindfulness in the context of leadership development.
We know mindfulness is an important factor in helping people cultivate resilience and avoid burnout. Leading in a world of increasing volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity requires strong a leadership presence that balances knowing, doing, and being. For many leaders (especially strong analytical thinkers), being fully present, self-aware, and empathetic is the most challenging aspect of leadership. Mindfulness practices are known to help leaders be more in the moment, more aware of their thoughts and emotions, and less reactive.
Including basic mindfulness practices in emotional intelligence and coaching development programs can help strengthen a leader’s self-management capabilities and leadership presence. Join Michael Nagle in a discussion of best practices for introducing mindfulness practices as part of leadership development programs. Romar President Dave Davis will host the 60-minute virtual forum. Anyone involved in developing leaders is welcome to share ideas and techniques to help our leaders reach their full potential.
Who should participate?
